COVID-19 safety protocols and reminders

Maintaining physical distancing, masking, hand-washing and other preventative measures are in place to help keep our students and staff safe and reduce the need to quarantine large groups of students and staff. We appreciate everyone’s help and cooperation.


Illness, COVID-19 exposure, positive test result

If you are sick, have COVID-19 symptoms, are considered a close contact of someone who tested positive or have tested positive for COVID-19 yourself, please stay home and contact the Community Education office by phone (651-621-6020) and email (communityed@moundsviewschools.org).

Indoor activities

Masks

Masks are required for everyone aged two years and older. Masks must be worn during activities. Masks may be removed briefly while eating and drinking, but should be put back on promptly after eating/drinking.


Hand-washing and disinfection

Hand-washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is encouraged at the beginning and end of activities, as well as before and after eating snacks. If soap and water is not available, hand sanitizer should be used in its place.


Cleaning and disinfection

High-touch surfaces should be disinfected daily. Cleaning supplies should be available in all classrooms. If supplies are needed, please contact the Community Education office.


Distancing

Students and staff should maintain a minimum of three-feet from one another. Whenever possible, distances of greater than three feet are recommended.


Cohorts

Consider dividing participants into small cohorts that will stay together as much as possible throughout the program/class,. Maintain six feet of distance between cohorts and limit unnecessary mixing between cohorts as much as possible.


Attendance

A record should be kept of all participants and staff at each session to allow for contact tracing and for notification purposes.

Outdoor activities

Masks

Masks are recommended for students and staff during outdoor programming if physical distance cannot be maintained. People who are not fully vaccinated should wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings or during activities that involve sustained close contact with other people who are not fully vaccinated. Masks should be put on by all staff and students prior to entering the building.

Players are encouraged, but not required to wear masks when actively participating or in competition, unless it is unsafe to do so in the activity/sport. Masks should be put back on when players are on the sidelines, bench, etc.
